EM-2M Portable 2-Meter Antenna

This antenna was designed from the beginning for portable and emergency operation. Structure, weight and materials have been optimized for ease of use in the field. The EM-2M can be mounted on a plastic pipe or hung by a cord from any convenient object. The EM-2M is a sleeve antenna, which means it does not use radials and does not need a ground plane. You can mount this antenna on a six-foot or longer pole and walk through a crowd, without worrying about spearing someone with one of the radials.

The EM-2M will cover the whole 2M band with a Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) of 1.2 or better. No tuning or adjustments are needed. And, because the EM-2M is a quarter wave antenna, it will greatly outperform a rubber duck.

The EM-2M easily breaks down into 2 pieces for convenient transport and storage.
